Good news for Carnatic Music Lovers. Now, through this website you can learn Mridangam as well as Carnatic classical music and devotional songs. Mr. KMH Lakshmanan and his sister Mrs. Annapoorani Sreenivasan will now be available for teaching Carnatic Music.

1. Mr. K.M.Harihara Lakshmanan
I am K.M.Harihara Lakshmanan, son of Sri. K.y.Mahadewan born at Pallakad Kerala. At the age of 5, seeing my interest for percussion instruments my father arranged for my Mridangam classes at home with my first Guru Sri. Pitchan. I learned the beginning lessons under him and after 2 years or so started learning under Sri. Palakkad S.A.Ramakrishnan. During these time I used to take part in many bhajan programs of popular artists like Nurani Appu and Dr. Seshadri. This requires continued performance of whole night and gave me good practice. Meanwhile I also gave many stage performances for carnatic classical programs.
Eventually, from the age of 32 I started attendig classes with Sri. Palakkad T.R.Rajamani, son of the great Mridangam maestro Palakkad Mridangam Mani Iyer. I am also a B-grade artist in AIR. I also play MADDALAM and is a disciple of Kallekulanga Krishna warrier. Have played for many PANCHAVADYAM programs in Kerala. I can teach Mridangam and traditional carnatic music and also I can play Mridangam accompanying the vocal artist (for full pledged carnatic concert) K M HARIHARA LAKSHMANAN
2. Mrs. Annapoorani Sreenivasan
I am Mrs. Annapoorni Sreenivasan, native of Palghat, Kerala state. Now we have settled in Chennai. For the past many years we were staying in gulf. And now for the past one month we are in
Nagasaki, Japan. My husband Mr.Sreenivasan is working here, so I stay with him.
Now about my Music talent, from child hood I have learned music. My first teacher was Laxmana Bhagavather from Kalpathy, then Miss. Thangam teacher and Mrs. Janaki Venugopal and
Mr.M.A.Venugopal, who was a music professor in Palghat Music Academy. I continued to learn music after my marriage also at Trichy also with another music teacher called Mrs. Janaky.
Then we shifted to gulf, there I was teaching music to children in age group between 8 to 12 years. I was teaching music for more than six years.
I have leanrned carnatic music through private tutions only.
