My name is Miss Prachi Vikas Wadikar (Katthak Visharad)
The Katthaka, Indian traditional dance. Katthaka express internal feeling of human being
which shows rhythmical, physical moments etc of body.
The God of dance is Bhagvan Natraj. In our Indian culture anybody can start dancing by praying the God-Natraj.
At present the whole world is going through critical phase & everybody requires peace of mind And physical fitness.
In this regard, Katthaka helps to conquer our stress. I have started learning Katthaka from my childhood. I am learning Katthak for last sixteen years. My initial Guru was late Mr. Vasant Kulkarni,
Kolhapur (brother of late Mr. Badrinath Kulkarni) & Visharad final certificate, under Mrs. Rama Kulkarni (Daughter-in- law of late Mr. Badrinath Kulkarni )
At present I am studying Alankar under the guidance of well known dancer Mrs. Shama Bhate at Pune. During last six years I have taught many students at Kolhapur. I have participated in various dance competitions at district,
state & national level. I stood first in inter college competitions in university. I have won continuously for three years &
I have also participated at national level. I have conducted various programmes of Katthaka at Kolhapur. The world is developing fast in this age of computer. Learning Katthaka is now possible On Line also and
