I have started taking OnLine music classes for about last 2 years now. Initially, I could not meet the students
but started knowing them intimately with the bond of Sur and Tal. Every student had a unique requirement.
Someone wanted pure Classical music, someone required only Marathi or Hindi light songs. Somebody liked Bhakti
Sangeet and somebody wanted rhythmic songs. Some wanted to learn vocal music and wanted to play Harmonium or
Keyboard with it and also with background Tabla for rhythm.

I try to adjust my teaching as per the requirements of each student. I am aware of the fact that students are trying to pursue their hobbies in spite of the busy schedule they must be having. Music surely helps to reduce
the modern day tensions and gives you a pleasant feeling. It refreshes your mind and encourages you for other
activities. |

Each of my students is aware of the power of the seven swaras Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni . All
students learn the basics of Classical music with entusiasm. They are also aware how important is the
Riyaz of Mandra Saptak, Madhya Saptak and Taar Saptak. The importance of Swaralankar,
Knowledge of Ragas, Songs based on Ragas, knowledge of Taalas, singing with Taal, playing songs with
saying notation and learning of Dhrupad, Dhamar, Tarana and Thumari of various Ragas is by now understood by
them. Now some of them sing the songs of their choice with a greater ease and have started giving stage
performances.
When I am taking class I have instruments for Sur and Taal and so does the student. The combinations works
in such a way that we both enjoy the class.
Today, after almost 2 years after starting my first Online Class, I am very happy that my dream is
becoming a reality. The main idea of launching this website is to reach more such students who are wanting
to pursue their music hobby but are not able to for variety of reasons.
As with pursuit of any Art, while learning music CONTINUITY is very important. Thanks to Mrs. Asawari Kelkar from Los Angeles who is supporting me in maintaing this continuity especially when I am on vacation or travelling. Asawari is a good classical and light music teacher and takes regular classes of some of my students.
